Abyssinia Ethiopian Cuisine
Authentic Ethiopian food meant to be eaten by hand
About
Owner Zelalem Gemmeda was born in Ethiopia and moved to Buffalo, NY in 2005. Since then she has opened Abyssinia Ethiopian Cuisine. Zelalem's sister still resides in Ethiopia and ships fresh, authentic spices to the U.S. for these authentic dishes.
A staple of Ethiopian cuisine is injera, a sourdough flatbread, which is served in many of Abyssinia’s dishes. These dishes are meant to be eaten with your hands and are can be topped with cabbage, spicy lentils, potatoes and beets.
