Colorado Aromatics Cultivated Skin Care is a farm-to-skin brand that utilizes the power of herbs and science to create highly effective skincare products that address the needs of people who love the outdoors. 

The Colorado climate and the outdoor lifestyle can have damaging effects on the skin. By using antioxidant-rich herbs and other actives, our skincare line can help minimize dry skin, hyperpigmentation, redness & irritation, and wrinkles. Your skin barrier function is the most important role your skin plays in your overall health and we aim to protect it from damage. The complete line includes face care, body care, bath/shower products, and soaps.

Formulator and Founder; Dr. Cindy Jones

Cindy grew up hiking, gardening, and now farming. As she began to see changes in her skin due to the sun, wind, and the arid Colorado climate, she looked for ways to minimize those effects. Using her knowledge as a biochemist and herbalist she studied solutions to keep the skin as healthy as possible under adverse weather conditions.  Her hobby turned into a passion and she formulated the Colorado Aromatics skincare line to be sustainable, highly functional, and have a great skin feel.

“Inflammation and oxidation of the skin cells are two key processes that accelerate the aging process,” says Cindy. Herbs provide multiple and complex antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties which help to combat signs of aging and skin damage caused by wind, sun, and other environmental factors that we are exposed to on a daily basis.

Dr. Jones and her husband live on their Certified Naturally Grown farm (at 5,000 feet) where they grow herbs for the Colorado Aromatics skincare line. From their farm, they look at Long’s Peak which summits over 14,000 feet, and Mount Meeker.  She believes that the natural beauty of the herbs and their surroundings shines through in the product and, ultimately, you.

Cindy’s passion for science, her love of herbs and the outdoors is the catalyst behind the Colorado Aromatics skincare line. She brings a scientific perspective to the field of herbalism and has found her niche in formulating natural cosmetics.

Cindy Jones also owns Sagescript Institute and is a highly sought-after product formulator/research and development consultant in the natural cosmetics industry. She brings a scientific perspective to the field of herbalism and natural skincare and has created a niche for herself in formulating natural cosmetics.

Mission Statement

To create natural skincare products based on the healing properties of herbs and green science. We cater to those who love the outdoors and also want a more sustainable lifestyle. Our affordable products can help revive skin that has suffered at the hands of exposure to weather and outdoors.


What We Believe In

• Education - Having a deep knowledge of what we do is important. There are many ‘myths’ and misunderstandings in the skincare industry. Cindy has a background as a college instructor and strives to educate both her customer and her colleagues about the science behind skincare. Cindy also puts aside time each week to educate herself on issues relating to skincare and ingredients so that she can stay innovative and create better, more functional products.
  
• Community - Being a part of a community and contributing to it is important. Colorado Aromatics participates in the Longmont Farmers Market and supports other local groups. We also belong to larger business groups that we play a role in through education. We maintain strong relationships with other owners of skincare companies and other herbalists. And within our company, we build community with each other.
  
• Health and Empowerment - Health is our most important asset and without health, it is difficult to pursue many joys in life. Our products help promote healthy skin and we encourage a healthy lifestyle through being active and healthy eating.
  
• Sustainability & Stewardship - We live in a beautiful spot in Colorado and its beauty impacts our products. We want to make sure that these beautiful places remain for our children. We use natural/organic practices on our herb farm which is Certified Naturally Grown. Using herbs as an active ingredient is a renewable practice with minimal impact. We use minimal packaging that is recyclable. We pay attention that our ingredients are made from renewable resources and are biodegradable as well.
