While not commercially SPF rated, tropical oils and butters offer sun protection to your skin and lips just as they do in the tropical wilds protecting the source plants by transforming harmful light rays to less damaging wavelengths. Modern chemical SPFs protect skin from burning but not from harmful, aging light wavelengths.  Prudent use of lip balms and creams include frequent application and limiting sun exposure for lifelong healthy skin.
