Padre Pio (1887 - 1968), also known as St. Pio of Pietrelcina, is probably the best-known saint of our times. A stigmatization since 1915 when he received the wounds of Christ, he bore these marks visibly from 1918 until his death in 1968. Padre Pio possessed remarkable gifts, including celestial perfume, the reading of hearts, bilocation, prophetic insight, miraculous cures and remarkable conversions. Though Padre Pio was renowned and sought out as a confessor, it was his indescribably edifying way of saying Mass that affected most people. Though forbidden under obedience to write letters or to preach, this humble Capuchin monk became known worldwide for his counsel, piety and spiritual direction.

During his life, which was dedicated entirely to the fulfillment of his priestly ministry, he founded the “Prayer Groups” and a modern hospital to which he gave the name “The Home for the Relief of Suffering.”

St. Pio of Pietrelcina can be lightly scented with Rose essential oil to reflect his deep love and devotion of the Blessed Mother, or Olive Tree...to honor his true friendship he extended to everyone he came in contact with. It is also available in a Fragrance Free version. This candle will be crowned with Rose Quartz, dried Rose petals and wrapped with a Padre Pio medal.

HOUSEKEEPING: Candles burn best (and longest), when you allow a wax 'pool' to extend completely to the edge of the glass, otherwise your candle will tunnel straight down and the life of your candle will diminish greatly. Ceiling fans and floor fans (any type of moving air!) can also affect the way your candle burns.
