Red clover has been a herbal favorite for many years. Did you know that red clover was traditionally used as an alterative and anti-cancer herb? Red clover is essential for having a healthy lymphatic system. It can help the body eliminate metabolic wastes. It is a favorite herb for women experiencing hot flashes and other hormonal changes throughout menopause, including vaginal dryness and osteoporosis. Numerous studies have shown extracts of red clover to be safe and effective for hot flashes in particular. For those with skin issues, such as eczema, psoriasis and acne, red clover is a savior! While more information is needed, it’s hypothesized that red clover could be an important herb for people with insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. I foraged this plant in central Minnesota. Comes in a 1oz glass amber bottle. I use the folk method for making all my tinctures, which uses no measurements except sizing things up with your eyes. So I put the plant material in a jar and then fill with alcohol. For more information on herbs and to read my blog, go to http://www.theherbalcache.com/
