This is a pressed flower impression of Ruta graveolens, the Rue plant.  A beautiful protection plant, and one of my all-time favorites.

This flower is a rather rustic style, not perfectly circular.  It looks like an ancient piece, unearthed from ruins, or kept in the family for generations.  It is handmade in pure silver.  I mounted a greenish-yellow cubic zirconia into the center of the flower.  The cubic zirconia looks mostly yellow, but has a slight green hint to it in some light.

I have securely soldered the pure silver piece to a sterling silver band.  The band has a nice, sturdy thickness to it, while still remaining lightweight.  The ring has a nice low profile.


The fine silver portion measures about 12 mm across.
This ring measures a US size 6, but fits a tiny bit tighter due to the larger size of the band width.  It would fit a 5 3/4 more comfortably.
The band width is 5 mm.



~Fine silver jewelry is 99.9% pure silver (not 92.5% sterling silver), containing eco-friendly recycled silver, mostly from old electronics. I make my own molds or press a leaf directly into the silver clay, each one is unique. I form and cut, file, sand, and polish every piece by hand, then tumble it for strength and extra shine.
The band is sterling silver, oxidized and lightly polished like an antiqued heirloom treasure if you so choose.
