From my childhood fascination with crafting jewelry, my artistic journey has evolved, transcending from vibrant candy raver bracelets to the exquisite allure of gemstones. While I still find joy in creating candy accessories, my primary focus now lies in crafting unique gemstone pieces that resonate with both my personal aesthetic and the preferences of my cherished clients.
Every creation is a bespoke, one-of-a-kind design meticulously handcrafted by me. In a departure from the conventional, I've recently closed my health coaching programs, feeling unfulfilled teaching yoga to the general public. My desire to redirect my focus stems from a profound connection to mental health, both personally and within my community. Recognizing the power of self-healing, I aspire to guide others on an organic journey, steering away from pharmaceuticals when possible.
My passion extends beyond traditional realms; I find joy in weaving captivating stories for readers and fashioning spiritual jewelry for wearers. An integral aspect of my practice is the mala—a 108-bead necklace with a rich history across cultures.
A mala serves as a string of beads utilized in meditation, prayer, and spiritual practices. The term "mala," derived from Sanskrit, translates to "garland." Crafted from various materials such as gemstones, wood, seeds, or bone, each bead is strung together with knots, sealing mantras and intentions. A guru bead and a decorative element, like a tassel, complete the design.
During meditation or prayer, individuals traverse the beads, reciting mantras or prayers, fostering concentration and facilitating a meditative state. The guru bead marks the meditation's commencement and conclusion. Beyond their spiritual significance, malas are worn as necklaces or bracelets, symbolizing one's spiritual journey and positive intentions.
Every piece I create is uniquely tailored to the individual, and infused with special meaning. Time-intensive and crafted with love, the process involves meticulous bead selection, washing, and energy clearing. Creating an ideal environment, I listen to Kirtan and repeat mantras for the wearer, with the entire process spanning about 48 hours.
Recognizing the importance of backing local artists, the pricing for my wrist malas begins at $44, covering taxes and shipping within the US. For the full 108-bead malas, prices start at $222, reflecting the dedication and artistry woven into each creation. Although I no longer manage a personal website, you can easily place orders through Mindful Market or by reaching out to me directly. Securing your unique piece requires a non-refundable cash deposit.
It's crucial to note that these creations are not intended to cure, heal, or alleviate any diseases. For any health concerns, please consult with a physician. Embrace the uniqueness of a one-of-a-kind mala, knowing you're supporting a passionate local artist and acquiring an item crafted with mindful intention.
